Wuxi, April 13, 2021 – The BSL-2 Microbiology Laboratory in BioDuro-Sundia’s Wuxi R&D Center passed a comprehensive on-site inspection from the Wuxi City Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) with zero corrective and preventative actions. The team and laboratory won unanimous praise from the Wuxi CDC on biosafety, biohazard control and emergency response, and will now receive the Wuxi City CDC’s Quality Certification.
As one of the first laboratories to be inspected in Wuxi City R&D Center, the BSL-2 Microbiology Laboratory was built in September 2020 with an area of about 100㎡. Currently, it is equipped with biosafety cabinets, autoclaves, microbial limit testing instrument microscopes and other instruments.
The BSL-2 Microbiology Laboratory meets US FDA, EMA and NMPA testing standards for Purified Water Testing. It routinely performs tests for specified microorganisms, microbial enumeration, antimicrobial effectiveness, as well as antibacterial efficacy. Sample testing includes the testing of active ingredients, raw materials, packaging materials，and finished drug products , also the testing of public works samples, and others.
