Multiparticulate Drug Delivery System for Physiologically Active Proteins and Peptides
Multiparticulate drug delivery systems (MDDS) provide improved patient acceptability over single-unit solid dosage forms and have become popular especially with pediatric drug formulations. In addition, such systems can also provide controlled or delayed release oral formulation along with other benefits. This study aimed at developing a multiparticulate drug delivery system for physiologically active proteins that can be administered as an oral suspension or through nasogastric tubes.
